Literary Mothers features short essays by contemporary writers about the women authors who have inspired them, and was launched just yesterday by Nadxieli Nieto. Says Nieto on why she started the site: "My literary mothers, the writers whose work I devoured late at night — cigarette in hand, propped against the flaking metal rails of the fire escape, my own mother exhausted from a day of work in the next room — were invaluable to me."
