The film was captured using Body-Worn Video (BWV). This video contains images some may find distressing.
The woman in this video, Gale Marmoy, known as Dawn, is now attempting to rebuild her life after years of abuse.
Her husband, Michael John Gregory, aged 77, is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence.
He was convicted at Portsmouth Crown Court in May this year, after pleading guilty to assaulting her at their home on the Isle of Wight in October 2013.
One of the police officers who was on the scene said he'd never seen injuries as serious as the ones she'd suffered.
