A 2008 study revealed that women with pear or hourglass figures (READ: bigger booties) are, on average, smarter than women with smaller butts.
The study by the University of Pittsburgh and the University of California at Santa Barbara monitored more than 16,000 women and found that the women with bigger hips and butts consistently beat their non-curvy counterparts on cognitive tests. Even the curvy women's children were smarter too. That's because the hips and butt store essential omega-3 fatty acids, which promote brain growth, and the curvy girls had more of that stored up, which helped not only in their own intelligence, but in the formation of their children's brains during pregnancy.

And a 2010 study by the University of Oxford suggests that having a bigger booty helps prevent against diabetes and heart disease.
This doesn't mean that fat in general will protect you, as if you primarily store fat in your belly, you're actually at a higher risk. But for those who store fat primarily in the hips, butt, and thighs, you're at a lower risk for diabetes and heart disease.

Nicki Minaj told GQ that her song "Anaconda" is not about butts, actually.
Even though it samples Sir Mix-a-Lot's "Baby Got Back," and even though the video features her female form prominently, Minaj said, "She [Minaj in the song] is just talking about two guys that she dated in the past and what they're good at and what they bought her and what they said to her. It's just cheeky, like a funny story."
When pressed, she elaborated, "I don't know what there is to really talk about. I'm being serious. I just see the video as being a normal video."
