Amnesty International confirms that Tessa van der Sande and her family were on their way to Indonesia for a holiday on Malaysia Airlines flight MH17.
Tessa van der Sande, a 27-year-old activist from Netherlands who worked for Amnesty International's Africa program, was one of the occupants of downed flight MH17, according to Amnesty International Netherlands.
The organization said Tessa was an employee of Amnesty's Special Program on Africa.
Tessa's parents and her brother also died in the crash. They were traveling to Indonesia for a family holiday.
