Apartment hunting in any city can be tough, but the New York City real estate market is notorious for high-priced, terrible living quarters.
The Tumblr The Worst Room has collected some of the most horrifying examples for ages.
One recent listing for a studio apartment in Manhattan's Lower East Side manages to really stand out. The shower is in the kitchen. That's right, the shower is actually in the kitchen.
A shower kitchen is apparently not an unusual arrangement for tenement apartments.
Also, the bedroom "will not fit more than a bed," the broker wrote.
