Despite his prognosis, Dave Benton says he is at peace.
Dave Benton is a news anchor at WCIA in central Illinois. He also has been battling brain cancer, and Thursday announced on air that it had returned.

"Doctors have told me that I may have four to six months to live," Benton revealed, adding later the he's "dedicated to continue good work."
"I want to know that there'll be a moment where I will stop a moment and say, 'I hope I did good work to our viewers, I served them, I did things well,'" Benton said, "and I want to take an opportunity for that to make sure it happens."
Benton now plans to undergo an new antibody treatment designed slow the cancer and make his final days "the best they can be."

In January, he tweeted a picture of his thinning hair when he hit the halfway point in his radiation treatment.
