Photographer Brad Wilson goes up close and personal with some of the most gorgeous — and deadly — creatures in the world.
For his photo series Affinity I and Affinity II, Wilson brought a variety of gorgeous, and sometimes lethal, wild animals into his studio for their close-ups. Posing them as he would a person, each animal is photographed in a manner that conveys their dignity and captures the raw beauty of nature. Brad says that the titles of his photo series refer to the deep emotional connection he feels with the animals when photographing them. He writes:
The animals engender an amazing sense of relationship that is primal in its roots and profound in the moment. They are what we, as humans, used to be: completely present in the moment and curious about the immediate environment around them, and living primarily through instinct and intuition.
